Genuine HJS 200-Cell Catalytic Converters

At the heart of the system are genuine HJS German 200 CPSI high-flow catalytic converters. Compared with the factory C8's restrictive 700-cell ceramic catalysts, the lower-cell-density HJS design provides substantially greater exhaust-flow capability while maintaining catalytic exhaust treatment.

Fabspeed states that HJS 200 CPSI catalysts can flow approximately 90–93% of a straight pipe in many applications, allowing extremely high exhaust-flow capability without eliminating the catalytic converters.

Dyno-Proven Performance

Fabspeed dyno tested the Sport Cats on a C8 Stingray Z51 equipped with the factory NPP valved exhaust. With the NPP valves open during both tests, the Sport Cats produced curve gains of up to:

T304L Stainless Steel Construction

The system is manufactured from T304L stainless steel for excellent strength, corrosion resistance, and long-term durability. Despite utilizing larger high-flow catalysts, the system reduces weight by approximately 9 lb / 4 kg compared with the factory catalytic converters.

Advanced Heat Management

Fabspeed equips the Sport Cats with military-grade thermal insulation blankets to help control the extreme temperatures generated around the catalytic converters.

The thermal protection is rated for temperatures up to 2200°F / 1200°C, helping reduce radiant heat exposure to surrounding components.

More Aggressive LT2 V8 Sound

The increased exhaust flow allows more of the LT2's natural exhaust character to come through. Fabspeed specifically describes the Sport Cats as enhancing the signature lopey American V8 sound of the C8 Corvette.
