DCT Filter Service

Only a small amount of transmission fluid is normally lost while replacing the DCT filter, but keeping additional fluid available is recommended in case the level needs to be corrected after service.

Track Fill Information

For 2020–2023 C8 Stingray models, the source specifies an additional 2 quarts of DCT fluid for the track-fill procedure to help prevent transmission fluid starvation under extreme track conditions.

The 2023 Z06 does not require the additional track fill, as it comes from the factory with the full fluid capacity. Beginning with 2024 model-year C8s, all sub-models are listed as having the full fluid capacity from the factory, so no additional track-fill fluid is required.
