CFD-Developed Aerodynamics

The KMX endplates were developed using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to improve both the appearance and aerodynamic performance of the V1X Rear Wing.

By strategically venting the upper side of the wing and shaping the lower portion of the endplate, Verus was able to reduce drag while increasing downforce. Testing showed a 0.6% improvement in lift-to-drag ratio (L/D) compared with the traditional V1X endplates at a 10-degree angle of attack. Testing was performed in free-stream airflow using a swan-neck upright and mount configuration.

Pre-Preg Carbon Fiber Construction

Each endplate is manufactured from premium 2x2 twill pre-preg carbon fiber using precision-machined aluminum molds for consistent shape, fitment, and finish.

The carbon fiber is finished with a gloss automotive clear coat for a premium appearance and added UV resistance.

Direct V1X Wing Upgrade

The KMX endplates bolt on using the same mounting configuration and hardware as the standard V1X endplates, making them a straightforward upgrade for an existing V1X Rear Wing.

The endplates are designed to bolt directly to any V1X Rear Wing regardless of the vehicle chassis.
