Carbon Polyweave Construction

Rather than using conventional carbon fiber, ABS, or aluminum for the main splitter blade, Verus utilizes Carbon Polyweave, a carbon thermoplastic material used throughout high-level motorsports.

The material is lightweight and stiff while being significantly less brittle than conventional carbon fiber or ABS, helping reduce the likelihood of cracking from impacts. Unlike aluminum splitters, it is also designed to resist grabbing and bending underneath the vehicle.

Verus notes that Carbon Polyweave materials are used in motorsports including IndyCar, NASCAR, and Formula 1.

Serious Front-End Downforce

This is the next step above Verus' WF Spec splitter and was developed specifically for dedicated track drivers requiring substantially more front-end aerodynamic performance.

The splitter is capable of generating and withstanding more than 500 lbs of downforce and was sized to help counteract the aerodynamic load created by aggressive rear wings and diffusers. This helps maintain a more balanced platform when driving the vehicle near its limits.

Integrated Diffuser Tunnels

Large diffuser tunnels are incorporated into the splitter system and optimized through CFD to extract additional aerodynamic performance.

The tunnels are manufactured from 3D-printed carbon nylon and are designed and produced in-house by Verus Engineering.

Carbon Fiber Air Dam

A three-piece carbon fiber air dam helps transition the splitter into the Corvette's underbody, creating a flatter aerodynamic surface and improving the effectiveness of the complete system.

The carbon fiber construction also visually complements other Verus carbon components such as their rear diffuser.
