Carbon Polyweave Construction
These side splitters are constructed from Carbon Polyweave, a carbon thermoplastic material used in motorsports applications.
Carbon Polyweave combines the lightweight, performance-focused characteristics of carbon-based materials with the durability of thermoplastic. It is designed to handle impacts better than conventional carbon fiber or ABS aerodynamic components.
Important: Carbon Polyweave is not traditional clear-coated woven carbon fiber. The material can have natural inconsistencies in its appearance and is designed primarily as a functional performance component.
Aerodynamic Design
The horizontal splitter design helps prevent high-pressure air from spilling underneath the chassis. High-pressure airflow beneath the vehicle can create lift, so reducing this airflow helps improve aerodynamic stability and increase effective downforce.
The benefit becomes especially noticeable during cornering, where airflow interacts with the side of the vehicle at an angle.
