Do You Need Chassis Mount Brackets?

When ordering, you will be asked whether you need the Chassis Mount Bracket Kit.

If You Already Have a Factory Z07 Wing — NO

If your Z06 came from the factory with the OEM Z07 package and Z07 rear wing, your Corvette already has the necessary OEM chassis mounting brackets.

You do NOT need to purchase another chassis mount bracket kit.

Since this is a Z07-style replacement wing, installation on a factory Z07-equipped vehicle is essentially plug-and-play. Remove the security fasteners from the existing wing, remove the OEM wing, and install the new carbon fiber Z07 wing onto your existing factory chassis mounts.

Because the chassis mounting system is already installed, there is no need to remove the bumper, cut openings for brackets, or drill into the vehicle body.

Installation can typically be completed in approximately 10–30 minutes, depending on experience and vehicle condition.

If You Already Purchased Our Chassis Mounts — NO

If you previously purchased and installed our chassis mounting brackets, you do not need another set. Simply select the option indicating that you already have chassis mounts.

If You Do NOT Have OEM Z07 Chassis Mounts — YES

If your Corvette does not have the factory Z07 chassis mounting system and you have not previously installed our brackets, you will need the Chassis Mount Bracket Kit.

Installing the chassis brackets is considerably more involved than simply replacing an existing Z07 wing.

The installation requires:

• Removing the rear bumper
• Creating openings in the bumper for the chassis brackets to pass through
• Drilling the required mounting locations into the vehicle body
• Securing the brackets directly to the vehicle body/chassis
• Reinstalling and aligning the bumper
• Mounting the wing to the newly installed chassis brackets

Once installed, the brackets provide a rigid structural mounting point rather than relying solely on the exterior bumper.

Professional installation is strongly recommended if your vehicle does not already have chassis mounts.

Third-Party Chassis Brackets

We cannot guarantee compatibility with third-party aftermarket chassis brackets. Different manufacturers may use different dimensions, mounting locations, hardware, or bracket geometry.

Fitment is guaranteed only with:

• Genuine OEM Z07 chassis mounting brackets
• Chassis mounting brackets supplied by us

Do You Need the Carbon Fiber Hole Cover Kit?

For most Z06 and E-Ray owners replacing a factory low-profile spoiler, the answer is YES.

When the original rear spoiler is removed, its mounting holes remain visible in the rear bumper. Because the Z07 wing uses separate chassis mounting locations, those unused factory holes need to be covered or professionally filled.

Our optional 3-piece Carbon Fiber Hole Cover Kit installs over these areas to conceal the unused mounting holes and provide a clean, flush appearance that complements the carbon fiber wing.

You WILL Most Likely Need the Hole Cover Kit If:

• Your Z06 or E-Ray currently has a factory low-profile rear spoiler
• Removing your existing spoiler leaves mounting holes exposed
• You want to avoid filling and repainting the bumper
• You want a clean carbon fiber finished appearance

You DO NOT Need the Hole Cover Kit If:

• Your vehicle did not come with a rear spoiler and therefore has no existing spoiler holes
• Your vehicle already has the appropriate factory solution for these areas
• You plan to have a body shop permanently fill the unused holes and repaint/refinish the bumper

Since many Z06 and E-Ray models are equipped with a factory low-profile spoiler, most customers converting to the chassis-mounted Z07 wing will want the Carbon Fiber Hole Cover Kit.

Quick Ordering Guide

*A factory Z07-equipped vehicle already using the proper Z07 mounting configuration generally does not have the same leftover low-profile spoiler holes that require the optional cover kit.

Important Installation & Hardware Maintenance

Rear wings experience substantial aerodynamic loading and vibration, especially during higher-speed driving. Proper installation and periodic hardware inspection are essential.

We recommend using an appropriate thread-locking compound such as Loctite on applicable mounting hardware to help prevent fasteners from loosening over time.

Periodically check the wing and chassis mounting hardware. If the wing develops additional movement, vibration, or feels less rigid than when originally installed, inspect and retorque all mounting hardware before further high-speed use.
