Engineered as a direct replacement for the factory intake system, the patent-pending Hornet delivers dyno-proven performance gains without requiring ECU tuning or permanent modifications.
Designed and manufactured in the USA, the Hornet features a rugged military-grade XLPE airbox, an integrated velocity stack, and a reverse-flow partition that promotes smooth, laminar airflow across the mass air flow (MAF) sensor for consistent performance. A stainless steel backplate allows all factory wiring harnesses and the antenna to remain securely mounted in their original locations for a true OEM-style installation.
The intake utilizes a massive high-flow air filter with over 600 square inches of filtration and is available with multiple filter options to suit both street and track applications. Halltech offers dry and oiled filter configurations, allowing you to choose the best option for your driving style.
Dyno testing has shown gains of up to 17 horsepower and 25 lb-ft of torque on the C8 Stingray, while maintaining excellent drivability and requiring no tuning. The Hornet has also become the intake of choice for performance packages offered by respected Corvette builders, including Paragon Performance and Lingenfelter Performance Engineering.
Originally engineered for the Coupe, the Hornet is fully compatible with the Hardtop Convertible (HTC). HTC installation requires only a minor modification by drilling out the top-center rivnut on the factory access panel beneath the trunk carpet.
