Verus Engineering C8R Swan Neck Rear Wing - C8 Corvette

The Verus Engineering C8R Swan Neck Rear Wing combines the proven UCW carbon fiber airfoil with a motorsport-inspired swan-neck mounting configuration. Developed for the C8 Corvette using aerodynamic analysis and vehicle scan data, the system is designed to increase rear downforce, improve high-speed stability, and maintain a relatively small drag penalty.

C8R-Inspired Swan Neck Design

The swan-neck configuration gives the UCW airfoil a more aggressive motorsport appearance while mounting the wing from above. The system combines this C8R-inspired mounting layout with Verus' functional UCW airfoil for a rear aero package focused on both form and performance.

CFD-Optimized Aerodynamics

Advanced aerodynamic analysis was used during development to maximize performance within the available packaging space. The UCW airfoil is designed to increase rear downforce with a relatively small increase in drag, improving overall aerodynamic efficiency and high-speed stability.

Track testing cited for the wing reported increased stability and cornering speeds, allowing the C8 to take advantage of additional aerodynamic grip at speed.

0–15° Adjustable Angle of Attack

The 63-inch main airfoil offers an adjustable angle of attack from 0 to 15 degrees, allowing rear downforce to be tuned around different tracks, front aero configurations, and driver preferences.

The wing endplates are also adjustable, providing additional flexibility when setting up the vehicle's aerodynamic balance.

Pre-Preg Carbon Fiber Construction

The rear wing is manufactured from 2x2 twill pre-preg carbon fiber, autoclave cured, and finished with an automotive-grade high-gloss clear coat.

The system uses machined billet aluminum uprights and trunk mounts, along with stainless steel hardware throughout for a rigid, precision-mounted assembly.

Complete C8 Aero Package

The C8R Swan Neck Rear Wing can serve as the rear component of a complete functional aero package alongside a front splitter, dive planes, side splitters, and rear diffuser.

2020+ Chevrolet Corvette C8

Listed applications include C8 Stingray, Z06, E-Ray, ZR1, ZR1X, Grand Sport, and Grand Sport X, with both Coupe and HTC body styles listed. The wing was originally designed around the narrow-body Stingray application but is listed as fitting other C8 models as well.
