The Fabspeed Valved Cat-Back Exhaust System is engineered around the LT6 with larger-diameter tubing, a signature cast X-pipe, factory-integrated exhaust valves, and a substantial reduction in rear-mounted weight. Fabspeed rates the system at +16 HP, +17 lb-ft of torque, and 20 lbs of weight savings over the factory exhaust.

Factory-Controlled Valved Exhaust

The Fabspeed system is designed to work directly with the factory C8 Z06 exhaust valve system, allowing the driver to continue controlling exhaust volume through the Corvette’s original settings.

The valves are plug-and-play with the factory system, giving you a quieter configuration for cruising and a significantly more aggressive exhaust note when the valves are opened.

Signature Cast X-Pipe

At the center of the system is Fabspeed’s signature cast X-pipe, joining the two cylinder banks to improve exhaust scavenging and reduce unwanted resonance.

Combined with larger-diameter exhaust tubing, the design is intended to let the 5.5L LT6 breathe more freely while producing the sharp, exotic exhaust character the Z06 is known for.

T304L Stainless Steel Construction

The system is constructed from 14–16 gauge CNC mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel, providing a strong, durable exhaust system while maintaining smooth exhaust flow.

Fabspeed also uses CNC-machined valve mounting plates designed to help protect the electronic valve components from extreme exhaust temperatures.

20 LB Weight Reduction

Replacing the factory exhaust with the Fabspeed system removes approximately:

from the rear of the vehicle.

Sound

With the valves open, the system delivers a stronger idle and a much more aggressive, high-pitched exhaust note as the LT6 climbs through the RPM range.

With the valves closed, Fabspeed describes the exhaust as significantly quieter and drone-free, making it suitable for highway cruising and normal conversation inside the cabin.

3D-Scanned OEM-Style Fitment

Fabspeed developed the system by 3D scanning the complete factory exhaust and creating a SolidWorks model of the OEM layout. The exhaust and manufacturing fixtures were then designed around that factory geometry before undergoing multiple rounds of sound and dyno testing.
