Corvette C8 Verus Engineering Control Arm Guide Strake Kit

Improve the aerodynamic efficiency and balance of your C8 Corvette with the Verus Engineering Control Arm Guide Strake Kit. These compact underbody aero components are designed to generate strong vortices around the control-arm area, helping the underbody work more effectively to increase downforce without adding drag.

When tested as part of Verus Engineering's complete aerodynamic package, the guide strakes produced a 3% increase in total downforce with no increase in drag, while shifting the aerodynamic balance forward by 4.5%.

Aerodynamic Performance

The control-arm area underneath the C8 experiences turbulent airflow that can reduce the effectiveness of the vehicle's underbody aerodynamics. Verus designed these guide strakes to create strong, controlled vortices that help manage this airflow and allow the underbody to generate additional downforce more efficiently.

During testing on a vehicle equipped with a Verus Front Splitter, Swan Neck UCW Rear Wing, and Rear Diffuser, the strakes delivered:

3% increase in total downforce
0% increase in drag
4.5% forward shift in aerodynamic balance

Moving the aero balance forward can also allow more rear-wing angle of attack to be used while maintaining the desired aerodynamic balance, providing the potential for even greater overall downforce.

Construction

Each guide strake is 3D printed from glass-fiber reinforced ABS, providing the strength and durability required for an underbody aerodynamic component.

Stainless steel hardware is used throughout for a secure and durable installation.

Installation Note
