Factory Valve Control

Unlike an aftermarket remote-controlled valve setup, the Fabspeed system is designed to integrate directly with the factory C8 Z06 electronic exhaust valve controls.

The Helical UK valves work with the factory electric actuator modules, allowing the Corvette to retain its original exhaust loudness settings, drive modes, and Z-Mode functionality. No separate wireless remote is required.

This gives you two completely different personalities from the same exhaust:

Valves Open: A significantly more aggressive exhaust note with an authoritative idle and the signature high-pitched titanium X-pipe scream as the LT6 climbs through the RPM range.

Valves Closed: A much quieter exhaust configuration designed for cruising, with Fabspeed describing the system as drone-free and comfortable enough for normal conversation inside the cabin.

Signature Titanium X-Pipe

At the center of the system is Fabspeed's cast titanium X-pipe, connecting the two cylinder banks to improve exhaust scavenging while helping reduce unwanted resonance.

Combined with the larger-diameter tubing, the design allows the LT6 to breathe more freely while producing the sharper, higher-pitched exhaust character associated with an X-pipe-equipped flat-plane-crank V8.

Lightweight Titanium Construction

The complete system is constructed from 14–16 gauge CNC mandrel-bent titanium, prioritizing long continuous bends rather than excessive welded sections.

The result is a system that removes approximately 35 pounds / 17 kilograms compared with the factory exhaust while maintaining strength and durability.

Heat Management

Fabspeed uses ultra-high-temperature heat wrapping around the exhaust to help control temperatures within the tightly packaged C8 engine bay.

The electronic exhaust valves are also mounted to CNC-machined plates designed to help protect the valve electronics from extreme exhaust temperatures.

3D-Scanned OEM Fitment

Development began by 3D scanning the complete factory Z06 exhaust system and creating a detailed CAD model. Fabspeed then designed the exhaust and manufacturing fixtures around the OEM geometry before completing multiple rounds of sound and dyno testing.
